Membership is open to individuals who live, work (or regularly conduct business in), worship, volunteer or attend school in Horry, Georgetown, Marion, Williamsburg or the southern part of Florence County. Relatives of members may also be eligible for membership.
Upon joining the Credit Union, all members - both primary accountholders and joint accountholders - must deposit $25.00 each to their basic savings account. This is not a fee but simply the minimum deposit required to keep the account open. There is also a one-time membership fee of $5.00, and it covers both the primary and joint account owner's membership. Your Carolina Trust membership will never expire; in fact, you may continue to enjoy your membership benefits even if you move outside the Credit Union's field of membership. Several free and convenient methods of account access are available: nationwide CO-OP Shared Branch and CO-OP ATM Networks, local Carolina Trust ATMs, Mobile Banking, and Online Banking.
