Carolina Trust Donates to the McLeod Foundation Hope Fund

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union made a $5,000.00 donation to the McLeod Foundation Hope Fund in honor of October being Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The Hope Fund supports cancer patients who are facing financial hardship and socioeconomic barriers during their treatment. It helps provide transportation assistance, medication coverage, special nutrition, and comfort items — the kinds of things that can make a very real difference for someone already carrying the weight of a cancer diagnosis.

“‘People Helping People’ has always been at the heart of Carolina Trust, and I believe this is a perfect example of what that means. We take care of our members, our community, and most importantly, we take care of each other,” said Tim Carlisle, Carolina Trust President/CEO.

In addition to the donation, credit union employees raised awareness for Breast Cancer by wearing ribbons and pink apparel.
