*APY= Annual Percentage Yield. For Rewards+ Checking accounts, may qualify for monthly dividends if you meet the applicable minimum qualification requirements for the monthly qualification cycle. To meet the minimum qualification requirements, you must: 1) be enrolled in e-statements; 2) log into online banking once per qualification cycle; and 3) have a combination of two of the following: electronic deposits into the account of at least $1,000.00, 12 point of sale or online purchases using the Rewards+ debit card posted and settled during the monthly qualification cycle, hold a non-revolving personal loan with a balance of $10,000.00 or more, or have an active mortgage loan. Refunded or returned debit card purchases will be subtracted from your monthly transaction count used to qualify for rewards. Additionally, micro-deposits and prenotes do not count toward the electronic deposit requirement. The monthly qualification cycle is defined as the first calendar day of the month to the last calendar day of the month. The Rewards+ Checking account is a tiered rate account. If you meet the minimum qualification requirements during the monthly qualification cycle, the first dividend rate and annual percentage yield listed in the Rate Schedule will apply if your balance is from $10,000.00 and below. The second dividend rate and annual percentage yield listed for this account will apply if your balance is from $10,000.01 or greater. Each dividend rate will apply only to that portion of the account balance within each balance range. A $5.95 Monthly Maintenance Fee will apply in any month the qualifications are not met. This fee will be waived for the first two statement cycles after account opening. The fee is also waived for members aged 18-24. There is a limit of one Rewards+ Checking account per member. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Offer Eligibility: This promotional offer (“Offer”) is available exclusively to individuals who open a new Rewards+ consumer checking account (“Eligible Account”) with Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union (“Carolina Trust”) between August 1, 2025, and October 31, 2025 (“Offer Period”).
Eligibility for the Offer is subject to the following conditions:
- New Account Only: This Offer is limited to new Rewards+ checking accounts. You are not eligible if you currently have a Rewards+ checking account with Carolina Trust.
- Primary Account Holder: Only the individual listed as the primary account holder on the Eligible Account may participate in the Offer.
- Consumer Accounts Only: The Offer is available only for personal, consumer checking accounts. Business or other non-consumer accounts are not eligible.
- Age Requirement: You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of account opening to be eligible.
- Good Standing: The Eligible Account must remain open, active, and in good standing throughout the Qualification Period and until the bonus is paid.
- Employee Exclusion: Employees, officers, and directors of Carolina Trust are not eligible to participate.
- Right to Modify: Carolina Trust reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate this Offer at any time without prior notice.
- Tax Reporting: Bonus payments may be reported as income to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and applicable state tax authorities, as required by law. You are solely responsible for any federal, state, or local tax obligations arising from receipt of the bonus. If you are subject to backup withholding at the time of payment, Carolina Trust will withhold the required amount and remit it to the IRS or other applicable tax authority. 2. Qualifying for the $300 Bonus: To qualify for the $300 bonus, you must complete all of the following steps:
a. Account Opening: Open a new Eligible Account during the Offer Period. All account applications are subject to approval.
b. Qualifying Activity Requirements: Within ninety (90) calendar days of the account opening date (the “Qualification Period”), you must meet the minimum qualification requirements, for each calendar month during the Qualification Period:
(1) be enrolled in e-statements;
(2) log into digital banking once per qualification cycle
And in addition, meet two of the following qualifying activity requirements:
i: Direct Deposits: Receive at least $1,000 in qualifying direct deposits each month. Qualifying direct deposits include recurring electronic deposits of:
(1) Payroll;
(2) Pension Payments; and/or
(3) Government benefits (e.g., Social Security, disability).
The following do not qualify as direct deposits:
(1) Person-to-person payments;
(2) Internal transfers from other Carolina Trust accounts; and
(3) Automatic Clearing House (ACH) transfers from financial institutions not associated with payroll, pensions, or government benefits.
ii. Debit Card Activity: Complete at least twelve (12) debit card purchase transactions per month. To qualify, transactions:
- Must post to your account by the last calendar day of each month
- Cannot include ATM withdrawals, deposits, or balance inquiries
- Cannot include Account Funding Transactions (AFT), such as funding a digital wallet or another financial account
- Cannot include Original Credit Transactions (OCT), where funds are received to your debit card
iii. Loan or Mortgage Requirement: Maintain either:
(1) An active, non-revolving personal loan with a principal balance of $10,000 or more with Carolina Trust, or
(2) An active mortgage loan, both originated and serviced by Carolina Trust.
c. Debit Card Transaction Posting Requirements: Debit card transactions must be posted (not merely authorized or pending) to your Eligible Account by the applicable cutoff dates. Carolina Trust does not control when merchants submit transactions for payment. Transactions made near the end of the month or on non-business days (e.g., weekends, federal holidays) may not post until the next business day and may therefore be excluded from qualification. For additional details on posting times, refer to your account agreement or contact a Carolina Trust representative.
3. Bonus Payment: If all Offer requirements are met, the $300 bonus will be credited to your Eligible Account within thirty (30) calendar days following the end of the Qualification Period. The account must remain open and in good standing through the date the bonus is deposited. Only one bonus will be paid per individual, per account, or per Social Security Number (SSN), regardless of the number of accounts opened. Bonuses are not transferable, assignable, or redeemable for cash except as explicitly provided herein.
4. Limitations and Exclusions:
- This Offer may not be combined with any other consumer deposit promotional offer.
- The Offer is void where prohibited by law and is not available to non-resident aliens or foreign entities submitting IRS Form W-8.
- The Offer and bonus may not be reproduced, transferred, purchased, sold, or traded in any form or by any means.
- All determinations regarding qualification for this Offer and bonus eligibility are made solely by Carolina Trust and are final.
5. Additional Disclosures:
- Carolina Trust is not responsible for delays or errors caused by third parties, including but not limited to payroll providers or payment processors.
- This Offer is governed by applicable federal and state laws and is subject to the terms of your account agreement and other applicable Carolina Trust policies.
